Kitchen Khemistry was birth partially out of a need to protect: my hair, because I dye it a lot; my skin, as I'm an avid outdoor swimmer. Also, partially because I work on my own clock which is at times, experienced as just a bit impatient. I was waiting on an amazing friend of mine to whip some butter up for me and it just took longer than my skin and hair were willing to wait - sooooo, I created my own version. I loved it and just couldn't stop making it! Gifting it to my partner at the time for her eczema as well as friends for months, they kept pushing me to share with other folks.
I officially became a business when a gift turned into a purchase.
